Waseem has 10+ years of experience in start-ups, technology and business in the US and MENA region.
He is a senior Executive at Dropbox and founder of Zulip. Waseem is a serial entrepreneur with a track record of innovative start-ups and growing companies to scale. He studied computer engineering at MIT and whilst still at university won with his partner colleagues the MIT business plan competition for Ksplice, a Kernel innovative patch. Following that, Ksplice won the nationwide Fortune business plan competition. With the support of angel investors, Ksplice was further developed and eventually sold to Oracle.
After being retained by Oracle following the transaction, Waseem and his partners moved on to their next ambitious project, Zulip, a workplace chat provider. This second start up rocketed in growth and generating interest. Soon enough, Dropbox, one of the most hyped internet based companies acquired Zulip.
Waseem is today part of the Dropbox senior executive team pushing the Zulip solution to the next level.
